No. 1: Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo

It couldn’t be anybody else.

I’ll go on record right now, I expect Jimmy Garoppolo to bounce back like a rubber ball being slammed into the ground by the Hulk.

Garoppolo has been given numerous weapons, has had better blockers installed (relatively speaking), a better defense to help him carry the load when it comes to winning games and a legitimate star now on the roster with the development of tight end George Kittle.

Garoppolo is a vastly intelligent QB, who has soaked up the wisdom of both Kyle Shanahan and New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. The teammates love him and get behind him as a leader, and he knows he has some unfinished business after how last season ended for him.

Garoppolo has impressed in rehab, and looks to be set to return to the field when the team comes together for OTAs and then be cleared fully for when training camp begins.

He’s even done rehab together with Jerick McKinnon, so the two will now have a developed chemistry together when they both return.

The 49ers have a quarterback who is intelligent, talented, has multiple weapons scattered around him, has shown tremendous leadership and has shown precisely the right attitude to his rehab to be back in time for camp.

Is there any doubt he’s due for a tremendous bounce back in 2019?

I don’t think there is.
