No. 2: Nick Bosa will be worth the hype

Whether you were on the Nick Bosa train or not, there’s one thing everybody can agree on: Bosa was the most hyped prospect all year in the draft.

The prototypical EDGE, Bosa fell due to the Cardinals’ fascination with Kyler Murray and will be setting up an interesting battle twice a year with Arizona.

In my view, Bosa will be worth every bit of that hype.

Not only does Bosa boast a rare skill set, he’s landed in a rare situation where he isn’t instantly the great hope at his position. Defensive linemen DeForest Buckner and Dee Ford will be there to soak up attention, first and foremost, which will allow Bosa to start his career with as little attention as someone of his hype could hope for.

While I caution against people foolishly wanting 15 sacks a year from him, I do think he should be set up well for at least around half that number while disrupting a lot more plays than that.

He will also help with the poor run defense of the 49ers by sealing the edge from runners.

Some have their doubts, but I don’t. Bosa’s hype will prove legit.
