The 49ers’ 2019 NFL Draft Picks

As stated, the Niners are currently armed with only six picks in this year’s draft. They are as follows:

  1. Round 1, No. 2 Overall
  2. Round 2, No. 36 Overall
  3. Round 3, No. 67 Overall
  4. Round 4, No. 104 Overall
  5. Round 6, No. 176 Overall
  6. Round 6, No. 212 Overall (Compensatory Selection)

San Francisco is without its fifth-round pick, which was used in the 2017 deal to bring aboard offensive guard Laken Tomlinson. And the same goes for the team’s seventh rounder, which was used to acquire offensive tackle Shon Coleman from the Cleveland Browns early in 2018.

As noted earlier, John Lynch is open to trading out of the No. 2 overall spot, which would certainly add to the 49ers’ current crop of picks, also likely providing even more draft capital in 2020.

But the reality of the situation is Lynch will need to yet again hit on some mid- and late-round selections, considering the team has plenty of needs exceeding what the team can currently address with relatively few picks.

Speaking of those needs…
