With the 2019 NFL schedule released, Niner Noise ranks the San Francisco 49ers’ five most exciting games for the upcoming season, breaking down why each one is important.
On paper, the San Francisco 49ers‘ 2019 NFL schedule doesn’t appear to be all that friendly.
Niner Noise’s Chris Wilson broke down some of the details behind the Niners’ calendar this upcoming season, which includes the following contests:

A Week 4 bye week isn’t exactly ideal, as most teams prefer to have mid- or late-season byes. But as I broke down on KNBR 680 earlier this week, there can be some benefits to this.
The 49ers schedule is road heavy over the first half, too, which has been something of a common theme since the team moved to Levi’s Stadium in 2014, perhaps negating some of the late-summer, early fall heat on the eastern concourses.
That all said, the Niners’ final six contest are pretty brutal, at least based off both last year’s results and expectations for 2019 from San Francisco’s opponents.
Regardless, there are some pretty enticing and exciting games fans should witness this year, and Niner Noise ranks what should be the five most entertaining contest for head coach Kyle Shanahan’s squad this year.
