We told you there’d be trades in this mock NFL Draft.

The 49ers stay put, and there’s no reason they’d move if Nick Bosa winds up being the pick. After that, though, things get interesting.

The New York Jets have made overtures about trading out from the No. 3 overall pick. They need pass-rushing help, as well as receiving options for quarterback Sam Darnold. Making things harder, they’re only armed with six picks in this year’s NFL Draft.

The Miami Dolphins, meanwhile, have a good chunk of draft picks and will still need to find a long-term option under center after moving on from quarterback Ryan Tannehill. True, grabbing journeyman signal-caller Ryan Fitzpatrick helps in the short term. But he’s not a solution beyond a year or two.

Not long ago, Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins was easily the top prospect available at this position. And with teams like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Giants potentially lurking for a quarterback a few picks later, the Dolphins decide to find their centerpiece in what would be a blockbuster deal moving up from the No. 13 overall pick in the draft.

Meanwhile, the Jets cash in on a nice compensatory haul.
