2019 NFL Draft: Full Round 1 mock with trades, April Fools’ version

The Packers already took care of one glaring need at tight end. But their second pick in Round 1 is more about finding value than anything else.

Sure, Green Bay could use another wide receiver. That would be nice, as would safety depth and perhaps another cornerback. Another pass-rusher could help, too.

While linebacker is probably the biggest need left on the Packers’ big board at this point, there aren’t exactly any quality options to maximize value at this spot. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Green Bay table that particular need until the middle of Round 2, where they draft at No. 44 overall.

Instead, the Packers solidify the offensive line with one of the bigger O-line risers in recent months, Kansas State’s Dalton Risner.

Risner is capable of playing pretty much all five spots along the line, and that versatility would go a long way in ensuring Aaron Rodgers remains upright over this crucial 2019 campaign.
