Wide receiver is also a position of need for the Baltimore Ravens, as they look to surround second-year quarterback Lamar Jackson with more weapons.

But after watching pass-rushers Terrell Suggs and Za’Darius Smith depart in free agency, one has to think the Ravens go back to their roots and focus highly on the defense. Especially the pass rush.

Fortunately, if one wants to put it that way, Baltimore can take advantage of Mississippi State EDGE Montez Sweat’s likely fall from a top-10 prospect in the NFL Draft. This, because of Sweat’s reported heart condition revealed at the NFL Scouting Combine — an event he still impressed in anyway:

Medical reports like this are hard to gauge, of course. Case in point, Michigan defensive lineman Maurice Hurst dropped from a shoo-in Round 1 selection all the way to the Raiders in the fifth round.

Sweat likely won’t drop that far. So the Ravens getting him in the latter stages of the first round would be an absolute boost with tremendous value.

Some risk, too. But it would be worthwhile.
