No. 3: Would you have taken Nick Bosa at No. 2 or trade down to No. 6 and give up a second rounder for Odell Beckham Jr.?

Writer’s note: This question was initially asked before the Giants-Browns trade. The question has been reworded to reflect that.

Tim Miller

The 49ers are more than a player or two away. The best-case scenario would be to turn the No. 2 pick into two players. If one of those players can be a known commodity, like Odell Beckham Jr. it’s a no-brainer.

Move to six and take a guy like Devin White. Look for EDGE help via free agency.

Akshaj Dwivedula

Bosa at No. 2. I love Odell, but the Niners need an edge rusher desperately.

Matt Stephenson

With Beckham off the board, unless Bosa goes at No. 1, I wouldn’t consider a trade down.

However, if Beckham was still in play, I would have traded down for him and drafted an EDGE at No. 6.

Peter Panacy

If the 49ers are able to trade down from No. 2 and only have to give up a second rounder for Beckham, I’d be all for it. Florida State’s Brian Burns would still be in play, most likely, for edge rushers. And the Niners’ second-round pick would likely have gone towards a wideout anyway.

I just have a feeling it will take a lot more than that to bring aboard Beckham, though.

Jeremy Wohlfart

Ordinarily I would stand pat, especially as a big Bosa fan. However with the wealth of talent such as Brian Burns, Clelin Ferrell and Montez Sweat available, logically you would have to trade down for that deal.
