The San Francisco 49ers could be very aggressive on the NFL free agency market this offseason, and Niner Noise offers up predictions on who the targets wind up being.

With approximately $66.7 million in available cap space, per Over the Cap, the San Francisco 49ers have more than enough wiggle room to make some splash signings in NFL free agency heading into 2019.

This means most notable names on the open market will likely be linked to the Niners in one way or another, either through some credible reports or even fan opinion on who general manager John Lynch would like to add to the roster.

Yet San Francisco has specific needs. And while the $66-plus million in cap space — sixth most overall — is a boost to the team’s abilities, one has to keep in mind the team soon needs to ink defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to what will likely be a sizable contract extension.

That’ll limit the 49ers to an extent and shifts focus to also targeting some less-known free agents, such as the ones Niner Noise pegged in our mock free agency roundup not long ago.

Still, there should be room for two or three big-name free agents. And one should expect the Niners to target some bargains on the market, who’ll hopefully assume bigger roles for San Francisco this upcoming season and beyond.

So, which free-agent players will wind up donning the red and gold this upcoming season?

Niner Noise dishes out some predictions on the biggest NFL free agency splashes Lynch and Co. will make this offseason.
