Kentucky is putting out more than a few NFL Draft prospects this season. And while EDGE Josh Allen has garnered the most attention, don’t overlook cornerback Derrick Baity, who managed 16 pass breakups and three interceptions over his junior and senior seasons combined.

The 6-foot-2, 197-pound Baity has smaller arms (31.5 inches) than the previous two defensive backs on this list. But he makes up for that with a bigger, stronger overall size.

Keep an eye on his bench-press numbers here.

It’s also important to note Kentucky ran a number of different coverages, including Cover 3 zone schemes, so Baity wouldn’t have too much issue adjusting to what the 49ers do on defense.

Baity’s recovery skills are a bit questionable, however, so teams like the Niners will want to watch his shuttle and cone drills to see how well he moves when changing directions. If that’s OK, Baity’s technique might only be something needing some coaching.

That’s OK, especially if the 49ers are liking the thought of using a Round 3 or 4 pick on the Kentucky backfield defender.
