Oklahoma. Cody Ford. 23. player. 10. . Offensive Line

The Houston Texans have to get better up front after allowing a league-leading 62 sacks in 2018, which will again risk further injury to quarterback Deshaun Watson if it continues into this year.

The good news is Houston doesn’t have too many other needs out there, meaning it can focus a lot of its early NFL Draft capital to address the offensive line. And this is a good year to do so, with plenty of value and versatility stretched over the first few rounds.

Arguably the top name left this late into Round 1 is Oklahoma offensive lineman Cody Ford, who is a tough road-grading run blocker with all the tools to develop into a solid pass protector in a year or two.

The Texans may want to start him at guard, eventually working him outside. Either way, Ford’s presence would be a much-needed upgrade over what’s there already.
