Tight End. Iowa. T.J. Hockenson. 19. player. 35.

Ideally, the Tennessee Titans would find a true No. 1 wide receiver with their first pick in the NFL Draft. Yet the depth at wideout could prompt head coach Mike Vrabel and Co. to table that need until later.

Fortunately, this year’s draft is almost as deep at tight end. That’s an area Tennessee needs to think about, too, especially with veteran TE Delanie Walker both getting up there in age and coming off a serious season-ending injury in 2018.

Not long ago, Noah Fant out of Iowa was viewed the top prospect at his position heading towards draft season. Now, it’s his teammate, tight end T.J. Hockenson, who appears poised to go first.

Hockenson is about as versatile a tight end there is in this year’s NFL Draft. He’s exceptional in blocking, too, which should help the Titans open up their run game and make quarterback Marcus Mariota even more potent on the ground and through the air.
