EDGE. Florida State. Brian Burns. 16. player. 87.

The Carolina Panthers are going to have to absorb the retirement loss of veteran EDGE Julius Peppers this offseason, and thankfully they’ll have a deep crop of outside pass-rushers to supplement the absence.

Carolina could go one of a few different directions here. But considering the quarterbacking talent the Panthers will face within the division, it might be best to go with one of the purest pass-rushers available in this year’s class, Florida State’s Brian Burns.

Burns’ run-stopping abilities will need some work, meaning he’ll likely start as a sub-package guy out of the gate. But that’s good enough, considering the 6-foot-5 talent still has room to grow in his frame.
