Which team has the best chance to trade for 49ers’ top NFL Draft pick?

Denver Broncos

Unlike Kyle Shanahan and the Redskins, the 49ers do have a rapport with the Broncos, especially between general managers John Lynch and John Elway.

And also unlike Washington, Denver has a slew of NFL Draft picks (11 overall) to use as part of a would-be massive trade up from No. 10 overall.

The Broncos are going to trade for Baltimore Ravens veteran quarterback Joe Flacco, once the league new year starts, to take over for the underachieving Case Keenum in 2019. But as Niner Noise’s Chris Wilson pointed out, that shouldn’t eliminate Denver from exploring a trade-up scenario with San Francisco.

After all, Flacco is 34 years old and has been on the decline, statistically, since 2014.

Like the first two teams on this list, the Broncos would probably have to dip into their crop of 2020 NFL Draft picks to strike a deal with the Niners. But given the number of picks they have this year, added to the Lynch-Elway relationship, such a move wouldn’t be overly shocking.

If it comes to fruition, of course.
