New York Jets. 30. team. 30. . 4-12 record.

Guess what? Another team undergoing a coaching change winds up towards the bottom of our NFL power rankings.

The New York Jets got rid of head coach Todd Bowles after their disappointing 4-12 finish, one which saw the defense wane and then-rookie quarterback Sam Darnold struggle to the tune of a 77.6 passer rating.

Darnold needs help this season, both in terms of a top-tier wide receiver and some better help up front along the offensive line.

There are needs for the pass rush, too.

Of course, the hope is Adam Gase winds up being a proverbial quarterback whisperer for Darnold’s development.

Even if Gase’s press conference was interesting, to say the least.
