Arizona Cardinals. 31. team. 32. . 3-13 record.

Like the Dolphins, the Arizona Cardinals also got rid of their head coach, Steve Wilks, this offseason. Only in this case, 2018 was a one-and-done year for Wilks.

That might have been a shock, just as much as it was the Cardinals hiring former Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury to replace Wilks.

This will be Kingsbury’s first coaching foray into the NFL ranks, so that will be something to watch. But the thing that separates the Cardinals from the Dolphins this deep in our NFL power rankings is twofold. First, the Cardinals still boast some solid talent on the defensive side of the ball, including cornerback Patrick Peterson and EDGE Chandler Jones. Arizona has its young quarterback, too, Josh Rosen.

And boasting the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft should be a boost.

The Cardinals are still bad. But at least they are in a position to trend in the right direction between now and the start of the regular season.
