Dwayne Haskins. 6. player. 31. . Quarterback. Ohio State

If another team wants to be aggressive and trade up to land arguably the top quarterback in this year’s NFL Draft, Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins, the New York Giants will have to adjust accordingly.

Since there aren’t any trades in this mock, however, it’s about time the G-Men make a move to replace veteran signal-caller Eli Manning. They could have done so a year ago, instead choosing to take Penn State running back Saquon Barkley.

New York won’t take the same gamble twice. And while the 38-year-old Manning’s 2018 stats weren’t terrible, per se, yet his on-field efforts revealed just how close to the end he is. But with him penciled in under center for this upcoming season, drafting a player like Haskins and letting him develop would be a smart move.

This, of course, begins a mini run on quarterbacks.
