4. player. 28. . Defensive Tackle. Houston. Ed Oliver

The Oakland Raiders have plenty of needs this offseason, particularly on the defensive side of the ball after ranking dead last in points against (467).

Good thing head coach Jon Gruden and newly minted general manager Mike Mayock have three first-round picks with which to attack the NFL Draft.

One might argue a versatile player like Rashan Gary would be in play here. That flexibility would be nice, but it’s a stretch to suggest he’s a top-five talent. At No. 4, that would be a reach. Instead, the Raiders look to solidify a weak defensive line by grabbing a prospect once viewed as a top-three guy on many a big board, Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver.

While not quite as potent as Quinnen Williams, Oliver is still a massive pocket-wrecking force, picking up a massive 53.0 tackles for a loss over three collegiate seasons.

Sure, there are still pass-rushing needs for Oakland, along with pressing shortages at linebacker and within the secondary.

But passing on a player like Oliver at this point seems too silly.
