2019 NFL Draft: Full two-round mock for all 32 teams, Super Bowl edition
By Peter Panacy
It’ll be fun for Raiders fans, and those covering the team, in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft.
First, Oakland addressed the defensive line with Ed Oliver. Later in Round 1, the Raiders brought in a promising EDGE in Montez Sweat.
Now it’s time to move back a level and take care of linebacker.
One could argue the Raiders should have taken Devin White with their first pick. Perhaps, although Notre Dame linebacker Te’Von Coney is a nice consolation prize to close out Oakland’s three first-round draft selections.
At 6-foot-1 and 240 pounds, Coney should line up on the inside at MIKE. He has the player smarts to eventually assume defensive play-calling duties, and his 123 total tackles in 2018 tell you all you need to know about him being around the ball a lot.
Oh, and the Raiders will be picking again early in Round 2.
