2019 NFL Draft: Full two-round mock for all 32 teams, Super Bowl edition
By Peter Panacy
There are plenty of teams this offseason needing help along their offensive lines. But none ring in quite as bad as the Houston Texans, whose O-line ranked dead last in pass protection and only 27th in run blocking, according to Football Outsiders.
This led to the Texans allowing a league-leading 62 sacks on the season, which is a perfect recipe to ruin the budding career of quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Watson was under all kinds of pressure over the course of 2018. Whatever playmaking abilities he has are going to be massively hindered by the O-line’s shortcomings. Pick a position here, and there’s a good chance it needs an upgrade.
Florida offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor has risen up NFL Draft boards quite a bit in recent months. And at 6-foot-5 and 328 pounds, he would be an excellent road block for opponents’ pass-rushers trying to chase down Watson.
