2019 NFL Draft: Full two-round mock for all 32 teams, Super Bowl edition
By Peter Panacy
2018 sure was an interesting year for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and it’s looking like 2019 is shaping up to be the same as well.
The Steelers are one of the league’s bigger disappointments last year, and a possible loss of wide receiver Antonio Brown on the trade market would make things that much weirder. Still, Brown is beginning to look like he’s a second option to the younger JuJu Smith-Schuster. And Pittsburgh still holds the proverbial cards regarding Brown anyway.
Instead, all of Pittsburgh’s attention this offseason should be on building that defense back up. An inside linebacker would help, especially with Ryan Shazier a long way off from ever playing football again. Some pass-rushing help to assist EDGE T.J. Watt could do some good, too.
Yet one of the better moves to make here at No. 20 would be to grab a promising cornerback, Georgia’s Deandre Baker.
Baker, 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, plays larger than his smallish size. And he’d help make up for the disappointment that has been 2016 Steelers first-round draft choice, Artie Burns, who has lost his starting job.
