2019 NFL Draft: Full two-round mock for all 32 teams, Super Bowl edition
By Peter Panacy
Most NFL Draft big boards out there have Ohio State EDGE Nick Bosa ranked as the top prospect for 2019.
But the Cardinals are switching back to a 3-4 base from a 4-3 defense, and there’s a solid argument Bosa isn’t exactly a perfect fit in this newly installed scheme.
Besides, it isn’t as if Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams is a massive drop of a player from Bosa.
Arizona already has a solid edge rusher in Chandler Jones. While having two elite outside pass-rushers is the envy of most defenses around the league, the Cardinals still lack some serious thump up front in the trenches. This is where Williams comes in, as he’s about as potent a wrecking ball there is along the defensive line.
The Cardinals would be hoping to land a player similar to that of their NFC West division rivals, the Los Angeles Rams, in defensive tackle Aaron Donald.
Envisioning a player of Donald’s caliber lining up next to Jones should prompt plenty of fear in opposing offenses for years to come.
