No. 2: David Long

Somewhat smaller than his competition at the position, David Long measures in at 5-foot-11, and 225 pounds. Hailing from West Virginia, Long is a proficient tackler with great short-area speed and quickness.

He recorded an impressive 108 tackles during his senior year, including 19.5 for a loss. Long also had seven sacks, along with four pass deflections and one fumble recovery.

Per The Draft Network:

"Quick processor who is able to attack because of his quick reads. At his best when he’s able to attack the line of scrimmage rather that sideline to sideline. Takes on blocks with low base and keeping his outside arms free. Strong filler at line of scrimmage who can alter the course of running plays. Can slice through blockers with shorter frame. Can bring some pop when getting downhill. Has a true nose for the ball. Reads pullers well and is able to bend around blockers to make the play."

Although he doesn’t possess the size of some of his fellow linebackers in the draft, Long does come with a great record when it comes to tackling. However, how his tackling skills in college will translate at the NFL level has yet to be seen.
