No. 9: 2012 NFC Championship vs. Atlanta Falcons

Just a week after defeating the Packers at Candlestick Park, the 49ers headed to Atlanta to face the No. 1 NFC seed Falcons at the Georgia Dome.

The Niners got off to a horrible start and looked like they had not got off the plane, falling into a 17-0 hole in the second quarter.

Eventually, the team got its act together, and erased a 10-point halftime deficit by shutting out the Falcons in the second half to win 28-24, and earn its first Super Bowl berth since 1994.

Colin Kaepernick threw for 233 yards and a touchdown, and running back Frank Gore ran for 90 yards and two scores to lead the team back from the brink. San Francisco set a new NFL record by recording the biggest ever comeback win in a NFC Championship Game.

Setting a comeback record in the playoffs is a great achievement, and this game easily fits in at No. 9 on this list.
