5. Matt Gay, Kicker, Utah

No doubt many readers are confused. Don’t the San Francisco 49ers already have one of the most talented kickers in the NFL?

Yes, Robbie Gould has been a stud for the 49ers and a new contract for the kicker should be a high priority for the team.

But the fact is Gould is a free agent, and in the chance he decides to move on from the team, the 49ers will be in the market for a new kicker. Matt Gay may be the first kicker off the board in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Gay had two impressive seasons at Utah, going a combined 56-from-65 from field-goal range. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ official website also reported him regularly blasting field goals of over 60 yards during Shrine Game practices.

Gay converted all of his extra-point attempts as well as a field goal from 47 yards during the game.
