No. 2: Deandre Baker

Having completed his senior year at Georgia, Deandre Baker is set to skip the Allstate Sugar Bowl in order to prepare himself for the draft. Again, on the slightly smaller side, coming in at 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, Baker will need to bulk up somewhat during preseason training.

Baker rounded out his senior year with 40 tackles including two for a loss. He had two interceptions for a combined 81 return yards, nine pass deflections and one forced fumble.

Per The Draft Network:

"Deandre Baker projects favorably as a press man corner in the NFL. If allowed to play within the contact window and disrupt route releases, Baker can be an impact starter from the get go. With some concerns centered around his long speed, Baker is a more favorable fit in a Cover 2 heavy defensive system, where he can be afforded deep help to ensure he’s not compromised vertically in the event he misses his jam at the LOS. Baker can make an immediate impact in the NFL."

While he is more than capable of covering receivers through his speed and athleticism, Baker’s lack of top-end speed is his one downfall.

With Baker likely to go late in the first round, it’s doubtful he will get a look in by the 49ers.
