No. 4: Trayvon Mullen

Trayvon Mullen out of Clemson scores the No. 4 position. Coming in at 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, Mullen had quite a good performance in the championship game against Alabama, as Clemson would go on to win 44-15. He had six tackles, an interception and a forced fumble.

With one year still remaining at Clemson, the junior declared for the 2019 NFL Draft on Wednesday, providing yet more added depth to the ranks of cornerbacks.

The Draft Network had good things to say about the young corner:

"Mullen is a long and physical corner that functions best in press and zone coverage. It’s those techniques where his physicality, length and ability to read the backfield are accentuated. Mullen plays up to his frame in terms of play strength and assertiveness as a tackler and in coverage. He flashes moments of outstanding ball skills and his long arms allow for recovery and margin of error."

A long physical corner is what 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan generally looks at in a player. With Mullen likely to be picked up on day two, he is another possible target for the Niners to look into.

He finished his final college season with 36 tackles, including four for a loss. Mullen had two sacks, one interception which he returned for 46 yards, three pass deflections and one forced fumble.
