No. 7: Would you like the 49ers to go after Odell Beckham or Antonio Brown?

Peter Panacy

Ideally, Odell Beckham would be the player. He’s younger and just as productive. That said, I don’t see the New York Giants willing to move him. And Antonio Brown would be untouched in Kyle Shanahan’s offense even if he’s on the wrong side of 30 years old. The 49ers’ Round 2 pick in 2019 would be the most I’d give up, along with a 2020 fourth-round selection, perhaps.

I still don’t see either deal happening, though.

Tim Miller

I don’t want the 49ers to trade for either.

Chris Wilson

Absolutely, but I wouldn’t give up more than an early second-round pick.

Aaron Tan

Yes. The most I would give up for Antonio Brown is a 2019 second-round pick and a 2020 third rounder. For Odell Beckham Jr., a swapping of this year’s first-round picks and a second-round pick next year would be the most I would give up.

Matt Stephenson

Given the choice of Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham Jr., I would trade for Beckham. He is younger and still has years left of his career. However, with both players reported to have had locker room issues over the years, it is something to be wary of. Both players will likely garner a hefty price in draft picks. I could live with trading a 2020 first-round pick for Beckham along with a 2019 second rounder.

While it’s a bit sacrifice, the return would be worth it.

Akshaj Dwivedula

Yes. I would give up a second-round pick and a fourth-round pick, or wide receiver Pierre Garcon, for Antonio Brown. I wouldn’t really trade for Odell Beckham Jr. because he would cost too much, but at most I’d give up a first next year and a conditional pick this year (something in the later rounds)

Jeremy Wohlfart:

I would trade a 2020 first rounder and a third rounder (either this year or next) for Odell Beckham. Unfortunately it’s probably not going to be enough to nab the talented wideout. He has some attitude problems but I’m not as worried about that compared to Brown

Speaking of…

Antonio Brown is over 30 and seems to have some severe attitude problems, so I wouldn’t do it unless the 49ers had some very good value in the trade.
