No. 3: The 49ers earned a high NFL Draft position with their four-win season

Every pig looks a little bit better with lipstick. The lipstick on the 2018 season will be the 2019 NFL Draft. The 49ers have the second overall pick.

In a draft that looks to be stocked full of pass-rushers, there is reason to believe the Niners will get a shot at curing what has ailed the defense for two straight seasons.

There should be some options for the team at No. 2. With only five picks (Rounds 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6) John Lynch should look long and hard at any opportunities to trade down that present themselves.

Inevitably there will be quarterback-hungry teams looking to outmaneuver the competition. Is there a signal-caller in this class worth the capital required to move up to No. 2?

Only time will tell.

Either way, the 49ers have to love the momentum a good draft class will provide going into the regular season.
