San Francisco 49ers: Power ranking the top 30 players of 2018
By Aaron Tan
If I had two words to describe defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, I would say “absolutely dominant.”
Because that is exactly what he is. Buckner is a terror for opposing offensive lines, running backs and quarterbacks. He gets double-teamed a lot and plays on the interior of the defensive line, which would make it tough for him to be productive. But he recorded 67 total tackles and 12 sacks on the year. He is a menace on the defensive line and has established himself as a true cornerstone player for the San Francisco 49ers.
John Lynch’s top priority this offseason should be to give Buckner a long-term extension as soon as possible.
He’s deserved it.
