Kicker Robbie Gould. 7. team. 42. . .

When the 49ers first signed kicker Robbie Gould in 2017, I was disappointed. I immediately thought of the 2016 Blaine Gabbert-led 49ers overtime win over the Bears, where Gould missed three field goals that kept San Francisco in the game and ultimately led to its win.

Fast forward to present day, and all I feel now is disappointment — in myself for ever doubting the man, Robbie Gould.

Gould is one of the best kickers in the league. He is a model of consistency with only one missed field goal and two missed extra points on the year, and most of all, a class act, being the 49ers’ nominee for Walter Payton Man of the Year.

Do yourself and the world a favor, click here and give Gould’s video a retweet to raise money for Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.

Gould is scheduled to become a free agent this offseason, but the 49ers will rightfully make re-signing Gould a top priority.
