. Quarterback Nick Mullens. 9. team. 42. .

You just can’t dislike quarterback Nick Mullens. The kid has a work ethic like no other and plays the game with a lot of passion.

Just watch this video and tell me you do not like Mullens:

Some, including me, could tell in preseason that Mullens was a better quarterback than C.J. Beathard, but his ball-security issues that he showed in the preseason led to his ultimate place as third-string on the quarterback depth chart.

Fortunately, Mullens got the opportunity to show his talent in a dominating win over the crosstown rival Raiders.

Mullens does not have the strongest arm, but he is smart and accurate with the ball. The thing that is the most impressive about Mullens is the fact that he executed Kyle Shanahan’s notoriously complex playbook so quickly. This tells you that he practices like a starter and puts that much effort in.

You can’t hate on Mullens’ grind. If he gets traded to another team, he will be able to excel.
