42. . . . Safety Jaquiski Tartt. 12. team

Even though strong safety Jaquiski Tartt did not have his best season as a pro, he still played at a high level for the majority of the season before he went on injured reserve in December.

Tartt is decent at playing coverage (he has one of the 49ers’ two interceptions this year), but his real value lies in his special ability to play near the line of scrimmage. He has a great nose for finding running backs behind the line of scrimmage and stopping them in their tracks before they find a hole to run through.

A lot of people may talk about him as a good trade candidate, but with the lack of secondary depth, the 49ers would be wise to hold onto him.
