17. team. 42. . . . Safety Marcell Harris

Perhaps the most surprising rookie of the year for the team was safety Marcell Harris.

There were questions surrounding how well the 2018 sixth-round pick would recover from his torn Achilles that ended his collegiate career that led to his draft slide, but he has performed very well in the NFL so far.

Harris has had some lapses in coverage, such as giving up a long reception to Bears wide receiver Allen Robinson in Week 16, but otherwise very solid in the defensive backfield. He was a little bit inconsistent in tackling, but laid some hard hits on opposing offensive players.

You can definitely see the potential in Harris — let’s hope he isn’t another rookie safety due to regress in his second year.
