. . . Defensive End Cassius Marsh. 22. team. 42

Ever since EDGE Cassius Marsh served in a rotational role in Seattle, I have always liked him as a player. He would make a lot of splash plays and displayed a solid skill set as a pass-rusher. Deep down, I knew that he was not going to be the long-term answer at edge rusher that the 49ers were looking for, but I thought that he was going to be an adequate starter for the team this year.

Marsh turned out to be a little less than adequate, but he started all 16 for the team, so I have to give him credit for that.

The former UCLA Bruin had an odd year — he would take over certain games and disappear in others. The games that he really shined in were the ones against the Oakland Raiders and Bears, but he never really made a huge impact in the rest of the games.

Still, I do like him in a rotational role, just like the one he had in Seattle where he can be effective with limited snaps.
