Round 6, Pick 184: Safety Marcell Harris

If Tarvarius Moore got knocked for not having enough tape, and Dante Pettis lost an A-grade because of injuries, then safety Marcell Harris will not be getting a good grade.

Harris had suffered a torn Achilles, which dropped him down to the sixth round, but also delayed when he could get on the field. Since he was young, and strong safety Jaquiski Tartt was already injured, he was given a starting role.

Harris, in that starting role, did not impress the folks at Pro Football Focus, who gave him a 40.0 overall grade. Now, with such a limited sample size, everything needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

That said, Harris really struggled in the pass game. He would misread routes and take bad angles. However, he was strong in the run game. In the Denver game, he was a menace at the line of scrimmage. Harris is also quite aggressive, although it didn’t always work out.

In all, Harris showed himself to be a raw, but talented prospect for the future.
