49ers’ 2019 Home Games and Predictions

All four of San Francisco’s 2018 wins came at Levi’s Stadium, so at least one can hope head coach Kyle Shanahan and Co. are starting to figure out this whole home-field advantage thing.

Let’s hope the crowd at the often half-filled venue figures it out, too.

Arizona Cardinals (3-13)

The Cardinals will still be bad whether it be on the road or at home.

Prediction: Win

Carolina Panthers (7-9)

The wheels fell off for the Carolina Panthers in the second half of 2018. Quarterback Cam Newton is still a threat, and running back Christian McCaffrey broke out in a huge way. But the defense needs a ton of help, and it will be hard to address all the issues in one offseason.

Let’s go out on a limb and predict a Niners win here.

Prediction: Win

Seattle Seahawks (10-6)

The 49ers finally managed to end their elongated losing streak to the Seahawks this season, utilizing a game-winning field goal back in Week 15. That felt good, and hopefully it’s a sign of things to come.

Prediction: Win

Pittsburgh Steelers (9-6-1)

Perhaps the wheels are also falling off in Pittsburgh with the Steelers, especially after they failed to make the playoffs after such a red-hot start to 2018. And have you read what happened with wide receiver Antonio Brown to close out the year?

Still, one shouldn’t immediately assume that topples everything the Steelers can do on offense, though.

Prediction: Loss

Los Angeles Rams (13-3)

The Rams are going to be good in 2019. Maybe not as good across the board, but they’ll still be dangerous. Offensively, at least.

San Francisco isn’t quite on the same level.

Prediction: Loss

Cleveland Browns (7-8-1)

My, it’s nice to not have to look at the Cleveland Browns with a zero- or one-win season anymore. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is the real deal, and that defense turned around, too. Looks like getting rid of head coach Hue Jackson was the right move.

Let’s see what coaching changes may bring. But it’s also safe to assume the Niners are a bit further along in the rebuild and would have had a much better record had it not been for all those injuries.

Prediction: Win

Atlanta Falcons (7-9)

Kyle Shanahan is going to make the Atlanta Falcons regret him taking the 49ers’ head coaching gig back in 2017.

Prediction: Win

Green Bay Packers

Yes, future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers is dangerous. And who knows what the Green Bay Packers do with their own head coaching vacancy this offseason.

But the Packers have far more questions than solutions at this point, namely at wide receiver, in the secondary and up front along the defensive line. It’s hard to think one good offseason can fix all that.

Rodgers versus Jimmy Garoppolo sounds fun, doesn’t it?

Prediction: Win

Based off Niner Noise’s advanced mathematics, the 49ers are predicted early to go 10-6 this upcoming season, with six of those wins coming at home.

Usually, a .500 mark on the road would be a sign of success. And that’s what Niner Noise’s prediction machine has generated.

As long as another wave of injuries across the board doesn’t happen, of course (knock on wood).
