C. . Cornerback. 49ers. TARVARIUS MOORE

Tarvarius Moore had one major blemish on his Week 16 stat sheet — he was responsible for the coverage on Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller’s 4-yard touchdown in the second quarter:

Miller cut back towards the pylon after convincing Moore he was heading inside, creating enough room for quarterback Mitchell Trubisky to find him relatively easily.

Overall on the day, Moore surrendered five receptions on six targets, which doesn’t exactly suggest a promising outing.

The positive, however, came late in the fourth quarter on what would have been a game-sealing third-down completion by Bears wideout Allen Robinson. Had he gone to the ground, the game would have been over. Instead, as broken down by Fourth and Nine’s Eric Crocker, Robinson kept running and allowed Moore to punch the ball loose, leading to a fumble recovery by San Francisco.

The 49ers were unable to capitalize on the turnover, yet Moore’s late-game efforts were certainly worth noting and helped his overall grade.
