No. 2: The 49ers Will Upset the Bears and…

Again, it seems silly to bet on this scenario playing out. Why would the Bears, new owners of the NFC North and possibly the most complete team in the league right now, suffer an embarrassing defeat to the lowly four-win 49ers?

A win over San Francisco doesn’t clinch anything for Chicago, per se. But there are some scenarios that would make it advantageous for the Bears to come away with a win, as Niners Nation pointed out:

Advantageous to Kyle Shanahan’s squad to continue the spoiler role, too.

Consider this a trap game for the Bears. They’re coming off a two-game homestand, where they pulled off a win over the now-scuffling-but-playoff-bound Los Angeles Rams two weeks ago, before securing the division in an emotional, meaningful win over their division rivals, the Green Bay Packers, in Week 15.

And before closing out the regular season with another NFC North matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, the Bears have to travel west to play the 49ers. If that’s not the definition of a trap game, what is?

Here’s how it happens.
