49ers preview: Seahawks visit San Francisco for a quick rematch in Week 15

49ers injury news
The San Francisco 49ers’ injury report grew during the week, but the team only declared one player out in advance of today’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
After missing last week with a shoulder injury he sustained while filling in at free safety against the Seahawks in Week 13, strong safety Jaquiski Tartt will miss his second consecutive game today. Rookie strong safety Marcell Harris, who improved last week after a rough starting debut in Seattle, will get his third consecutive start of the season:
Slot cornerback K’Waun Williams is questionable for today’s game after a knee injury kept him out of action in Week 14. Even if Williams is able to suit up, defensive back D.J. Reed may start in the slot after the rookie’s breakout performance against the Broncos. If Reed lines up at cornerback instead of free safety, defensive back Antone Exum will man “center field” for San Francisco.
Running back Matt Breida is also officially listed as questionable after watching the Niners’ game from the sideline last week. And after playing in Week 14, wide receivers Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis are also listed as questionable on the 49ers’ official injury report, but all three important playmakers are expected to suit up against Seattle, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:
Although a number of players either missed practice or were limited during the week, only two additional 49ers are questionable for this afternoon’s game. Edge rusher Cassius Marsh spent the past week recovering from a concussion, while SAM linebacker Mark Nzeocha participated in just one limited practice after injuring his groin last week against the Broncos.
49ers injury news will be updated throughout the day as additional information becomes available.
