No. 4: Getting to Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson

The Seahawks have given up 34 sacks in 11 games so far this season. That ranks ninth worst in the NFL. Given the fact that Russell Wilson is one of the more elusive quarterbacks in the NFL, this stat looks even worse.

On the flip side of this coin, the 49ers have sacked the opposing quarterback only 26 times this year, and eight of those sacks came in Week 9 against a banged-up and inept Oakland Raiders offensive line.

This will be the battle of the movable object versus the resistible force. Something has to give.

The 49ers will win this game if they can sack Wilson five or more times.

A tall task for the 49ers maligned pass rush.

No better time than this point in the season for defensive coordinator Robert Saleh to start putting together pressure packages that can get to the quarterback. My concern here is that the he has no such packages.
