Week 13 pits the San Francisco 49ers versus their NFC West division rivals, the Seattle Seahawks. The Niners will win if they do the following five things.

It is Week 13 of the 2018 season and the San Francisco 49ers travel to Seattle to face the 6-5 Seahawks — a team still very much in the playoff hunt, second in the NFC West behind the 8-1 Los Angeles Rams.

It should come as no surprise to you that the 49ers are the underdogs in this one. Yes, they are getting more than the obligatory three points Vegas usually allots to visiting teams. Seattle is favored by 10 in this one, according to Odds Shark.

But you know what? That’s OK. If God didn’t make underdogs, Sylvester Stallone wouldn’t have a film career and the Titanic would’ve sunk that iceberg.

While the number 13 can be an ominous sign to many, I’m gonna keep it positive this week. The Seahawks have some deficiencies. They are not invincible. Of their six victories, only two have been against a team that currently has a winning record. The 49ers certainly do not have a winning record, but they do have a chance.

These are the ways that San Francisco can beat Seattle. Listed in no particular order, some paths to victory are more probable than others.

Keeping with this week’s theme I would be remiss if I did not end this introductory comment on a final uplifting note: The San Francisco 49ers still have not been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. So there’s that.
