The Tennessee Titans have produced a solid defense under first-year head coach Mike Vrabel, and any shortcomings within this unit can likely be addressed in later rounds.

Tennessee’s bigger priority, however, is getting additional weapons for quarterback Marcus Mariota.

This need became pretty apparent early, when veteran tight end Delanie Walker was lost for the season with a broken ankle. And at 34 years old, one has to wonder if this injury will limit Mariota’s favorite target’s impact going forward. Plus, with the Cincinnati Bengals also likely in the market for an impact tight end, the Titans shouldn’t sleep on the top prospect at this position.

Iowa’s Noah Fant is that guy — the clear-cut best tight end in this NFL Draft class. And while going at No. 14 might be a bit of a reach, Fant’s production more than warrants first-round consideration.

Outside of wide receiver Corey Davis, Tennessee’s passing game has been pretty abysmal in 2018. Adding a playmaking mismatch like Fant should open up things for Mariota and Co. nicely, while providing that long-term replacement for Walker.
