Wide Receiver. Oklahoma. Marquise Brown. 12. player. 53.

Don’t look now, but the Cleveland Browns are on the ascent. Grabbing quarterback Baker Mayfield at No. 1 overall in this year’s NFL Draft was a smart move, and it’s time to start surrounding him with even more help.

Part of this should be on the offensive line, as Mayfield has been under regular pressure for most of the season. But there’s simply not the right kind of value here at No. 12 unless Cleveland trades down.

Instead, the Browns look to add an explosive playmaker, Oklahoma wide receiver Marquise Brown.

At 5-foot-10, Brown isn’t exactly the big-bodied target and could add a big more weight to his 168-pound frame. That said, he’s explosive and creates yards after the catch like few other receiving prospects in this year’s class.

Plus, pairing him with the stronger Jarvis Landry would open up Mayfield’s passing options unlike anything he’s currently enjoying right now.
