With only a month left in the regular season, Niner Noise dishes out an updated two-round mock for the 2019 NFL Draft, taking a look at each team’s top needs for this upcoming April.

The 2019 NFL Draft is still months away, and yet nearly half of the league’s teams and their fanbases have little more to get excited about as the rest of the 2018 regular season draws to a close, and those fortunate enough to make the playoffs will be the talk of nationwide pundits and analysts everywhere.

If things stay put the way they are now, the San Francisco 49ers will own the No. 1 overall pick in April’s draft. And for a team with a 2-9 record this deep into the season, having a shot at the top pick is about as good as it gets.

The Niners are fortunate they don’t need a quarterback, merely waiting for Jimmy Garoppolo to return from his season-ending ACL injury suffered back in Week 3. Other top-selecting teams, like the New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars, may not be so lucky, however. Unlike this year’s draft, the 2019 class is nowhere deep under center.

Instead, defense will dominate the majority of Round 1 and well into Round 2. So, if your squad is looking for a lot of defensive help, be happy.

In this two-round mock draft, Niner Noise will break down all of the first-round picks and why each team would be wise to make the respective selections, then going into Round 2 to make things a bit sweeter if such needs weren’t addressed in Round 1.

No trades this time, and the 2019 NFL Draft order is based off what can be seen here at Tankathon.

The San Francisco 49ers are officially on the clock.
