No. 2: Wide Receiver Dante Pettis

His rookie season still might be off to a slow start, but first-year wide receiver Dante Pettis managed to show a few things during the Niners’ Week 12 loss in Tampa Bay.

The former Washington product finished the day with 77 yards on four catches with a touchdown — his second of the season.

Pettis, who has been slowed by a number of injuries for much of the year, looks finally healthy and will have the opportunity to make more of an impact in Seattle. Wide receiver Pierre Garçon (knee) is probable for the contest, although the injury could limit his snap number. And fellow wideout Marquise Goodwin is still dealing with a personal matter, which held him out of the 49ers’ last game versus the Buccaneers.

The Seahawks are allowing an average of 6.7 yards per pass attempt, which ranks 20th among all defenses.

Seattle’s secondary is no longer living in the “Legion of Boom” days, meaning Pettis’ exceptional route-running skill should continue to develop this Sunday.
