No. 4: Wide Receiver Golden Tate

There is little doubt that 49ers wide receiver Pierre Garcon will be gone after this season, as the team has options worked into the final three years of his contract. His contributions have been negligible. This time, the Niners need to set their sites on a veteran receiver who can not only help the young guys along, but also make some plays himself.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Golden Tate fits the bill. In his ninth season, Tate has made a Pro Bowl and, since 2014, never caught less than 90 passes.

Tate is a big body who can get open — both traits the 49ers lack in their current receiving corps.

The team that signs him will most likely have to overpay. The 49ers have cap space and are desperate for a veteran skill-position player.
