No. 5: Linebacker Fred Warner

Linebacker Fred Warner was selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He was expected to partner with Reuben Foster to form one of the more dynamic linebacker combos in the NFL.

Foster is now gone.

Warner’s play remains steady. Rangy and mobile against the pass, not afraid to meet an opponent’s running back in the hole, Warner had a decent game Sunday. While at times having difficulty shedding blocks, more often than not Warner is where he is supposed to be on the field.

Against the Buccaneers, he was tied for the team lead in tackles at seven and had a pass deflected.

Forced to be on the field more than 34 minutes, Warner played admirably.
