Everyone here at Niner Noise would like to extend a warm Thanksgiving greeting to all our San Francisco 49ers fans and friends, wishing you the best this holiday.

On behalf of everyone here at Niner Noise, part of the FanSided network, I’d like to wish each one of our readers and San Francisco 49ers fans everywhere a very wonderful and happy Thanksgiving holiday!

So, in the spirit of the holiday, I elected to come up with some Niners-related subject material for which I’m thankful this season.

First, I’m actually thankful the 49ers have a paltry record this year. As soon as both quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and running back Jerick McKinnon were lost for 2018 due to injuries, this year’s campaign was awash. Netting what likely winds up a top-five NFL Draft pick is a nice consolation prize.

Especially in a draft class filled with elite-level pass-rushing prospects — San Francisco’s biggest offseason need.

On top of that, I’m thankful the Niners are competitive in games even if they’re losing in the fourth quarter a lot this year (four times out of those eight defeats). It’s frustrating, sure. But it’s a far cry from the 2016 49ers, who were getting blown out of games by halftime.

That was plain painful to watch.

I’m also thankful for head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch. Have they been perfect? No. Far from it. But their working rapport is still so much nicer to discuss and evaluate than the ones we were forced to accept before 2017.

I’m thankful I still have a home, as I know more than a few 49ers fans who lost theirs in the devastating California wildfires that plagued the state, recently. But I’m also thankful to the outpouring of love and support from organizations everywhere. And if you want to get involved, here’s a way how.

I’m thankful for tight end George Kittle and running back Matt Breida. Amid an injury-filled and frustrating San Francisco season, both players have been fun to watch.

And it helps both are tearing it up for my fantasy football team. I’m first in my division and the second seed overall, currently, in case you were wondering.

I’m also thankful for all our contributors and staff here at Niner Noise. They’re the life blood of this site, giving fans and readers the kind of special content not seen anywhere else. If you want to be a part of the crop, you just need to click here or the link below:

Most of all, I’m thankful for the millions of Niner Noise readers who spend their time and effort taking in all the crazy nonsense all of us have to say.

I know all of you can, and sometimes should, make better use of your time and read up on the 49ers elsewhere. But you don’t. You engage with us, share our content and have discussions about your own thoughts of the team.

Even if we don’t always agree, the conversations are outstanding.

Comparing 49ers' rebuild under Bill Walsh to that of Kyle Shanahan, John Lynch. dark. Next

So, while you’re getting ready to sit down with family, friends and loved ones, just know everyone here at Niner Noise is both appreciative and thankful for your support and interest in what we do.

And have a very happy, happy Thanksgiving.
