No. 2: Tight End Jeff Heuerman, Denver Broncos

Perhaps you’re one of those fantasy football owners wondering what you’re going to do with 49ers tight end George Kittle on the bye week and not fully invested in Oakland Raiders TE Jared Cook.

(Gee, sounds like me).

In PPR leagues, you could do far worse than grab Denver Broncos tight end Jeff Heuerman to fill the void.

Following the Broncos’ trade of wide receiver Demaryius Thomas to the Houston Texans, Heuerman became the primary beneficiary of pass targets, hauling in 10 of his 11 attempts for 83 yards and a touchdown. It’s looking as if he’ll be the go-to guy for Denver quarterback Case Keenum, particularly with a pass-rushing Los Angeles Chargers defense coming up on the calendar.

Remember, pressured quarterbacks often like pass-catching tight ends.

Heuerman is owned in just over 12 percent of ESPN leagues too, making him an ideal fantasy football waiver-wire pickup.
